Amanda Synder LCSW- Addictions and Psychological Therapy - West Chester PA

Amanda Synder

Education: Bachelor of Science in Education
West Chester University (1998)

Amanda Snyder, LSCW, has been leading social skills groups for children with a variety of diagnosis since 2003. Social skills groups focus on teaching children to improve their ability to make and keep friends, problem solve, and behave more appropriately. Motivating activities and group interaction will give the children opportunities to practice these skills during the group session. The Therapist will reward rule compliance, participation, and use of appropriate social skills, while also encouraging and reinforcing the children to practice these skills outside of the session. The therapist will collect information from parents regarding the children's behavior before and after the group to measure the children's progress. Parents will be provided with written feedback at the conclusion of each group.
